Beer Festival

Written by: landlord on Mar 21st 2008

Once again The Sidings Beer Festival is here and yet again we are proud to offer over 50 real ales to try. With a generous mix of Milds, Stouts, Light Session beers, Strong Ales and a sneaky raspberry fruit beer too, we hope to cater to your taste-buds and have you coming back for more!

This year we are hoping to interact with you, the opinionated drinker, to find out which are your likes and dislikes so we have an idea of what to get again through the year and to assist us in the selection for next year’s festival, so boxes will be placed around the pub with a top 3 list for you to fill in.

For a record of your festival experience the notes this year have space for a score so you can rate the beers you have tasted and then debate with your fellow tipplers on how you are right and they are wrong in their judgement!

Based on appearance, aroma, flavour and overall impression, here’s the Sidings Beer Rating Guide:

  1. - one sip shocker!
  2. - one pint wonder!
  3. - Oh  go on then, one more!
  4. - Oh so nearly nectar!
  5. - Optimum imbibement, I’m here for the night!

Here’s the list of this year’s beers:
